We support public education initiatives aimed at raising awareness of the ongoing challenges faced by individuals and peoples resisting settler colonialism and systemic racism, including the duty of remembrance. This consists of educational programs and campaigns that foster understanding and empathy.
We are also committed to activities that promote community organizing to strengthen the solidarity and autonomy of marginalized communities in Quebec, particularly in Montreal. The goal is to create spaces for collective action, mobilization, and support for the groups concerned.
We provide legal assistance to individuals and communities dealing with the repercussions of settler colonialism and systemic racism. This support includes defending the rights and well-being of those affected by these issues.
We created a rapid response fund to provide financial assistance to meet urgent needs arising from these systemic challenges. This fund is a vital resource to help those affected in their struggle for justice and equity.
Organizations (both formal and informal, both well established and in initial idea stages) as well as individuals (such as those leading projects or those directly affected, including through family members)
Emergency assistance to cover essential needs, such as:
- legal advice (e.g., status regularization)
- health care (e.g. gender transition)
- cost-of-living support (e.g. eviction prevention)
- funeral expenses.
This support is directed in particular to families affected by suicide, state violence or gun violence, undocumented or precarious-status individuals, as well as Indigenous peoples facing crises or requiring urgent care.
A citizens’ committee on public safety and community resilience to share stories, build knowledge, and advocate for solutions.
A healing summit to support the families of victims of state violence and gun violence.
Purchase of mobile sound equipment for public mobilization activities.
A documentation and research project on the intersectional perspectives of Black women in feminist circles in Quebec.
Support for media projects centered on marginalized voices, including a podcast and a magazine.
Computer equipment and other resources for educational projects aimed at 2SLGBTQI+ communities.

We are committed to shedding light on the social denial of the violence faced by those fighting against these deeply rooted issues. We intend to develop an observatory that will serve as a critical resource for documenting and highlighting these injustices.
In-depth research and documentation of the experiences, challenges, and needs of marginalized communities.
We are engaged in strategic lobbying efforts to defend the rights of marginalized communities and challenge dehumanizing policies and practices. This lobbying is directed toward national and international bodies, including Senate and parliamentary committees, as well as the broader international community.
Compilation of 19 rich perspectives gathered through detailed interviews with various individuals who hold deep trust and knowledge within their communities.
Analysis of support models carried out by philanthropic actors through interviews with a dozen sector stakeholders, along with recommendations on possible courses of action.
In collaboration with the Immigrant Workers Centre (IWC-CTI) and the International Clinic for the Defense of Human Rights at UQAM (CIDDHU), as part of Canada’s 4th Universal Periodic Review (UPR) under the auspices of the United Nations Human Rights Council.
